Rising Stars is more than a football camp. We're building athletes who carry themselves with discipline, respect, and faith — on the field and off. This isn't a long list of rules. It's how we treat each other, the people who host us, and the work we came here to do.
The short version: work hard when it's time to work, have fun when it's time to have fun, and leave the place better than you found it.
01. On the Field
The drills, the instruction, and the daily devotion are where the real work happens. When a coach is teaching, when a drill is running, when we're praying together — that's the time to lock in. No goofing off, no side conversations, no checking out.
We'll have plenty of time for fun and games every single day — that's part of what makes camp worth showing up for. But the kids who get the most out of camp are the ones who can flip the switch.
"When it's time to be serious, you are serious. Then we can all have fun when it's time to have fun."
— Coach Brandon02. Respect
Respect is the foundation of everything we do. That looks like:
- Respect your coaches. When a coach is talking, you're listening. Not just hearing — listening. They're here to make you better. Honor that by giving them your full attention.
- Watch your language. No bad language at camp. Period. We hold ourselves to a higher standard whether anyone's checking or not.
- Respect your teammates and opponents. No trash talk, no putdowns, no excluding anyone. Lift each other up.
- Respect the grounds we're using. The facility hosting us is doing us a favor. We treat their property with the same care we'd want for our own.
03. Leave it Better Than You Found It
We're guests at our host facility. Every athlete is responsible for keeping the area clean and packed up.
- End-of-day cleanup. Before you leave each day, collect your water bottle, your gear, and any personal belongings. Lost-and-found should be empty by Friday.
- Lunch and snack time. No trash left behind. If you brought it, you take it with you or throw it in the bin. Leave the lunch area cleaner than how you found it.
- The facility. Stay out of areas that aren't part of camp. Use the spaces we're given the way they're meant to be used.
04. Drop-Off & Pickup
We're flexible with drop-off times — life happens, traffic happens, and we get it. But camp runs smoother when everyone's there on time and ready to go. Aim to arrive at the start of camp and we'll all have a better day.
Approved Pickup Only. We will only release your athlete to a parent/guardian or to someone you've listed on the Approved Pickup List during registration. If someone else needs to pick up your athlete on a given day — a friend, a relative, a teammate's parent — you must give us permission ahead of time. A quick text or call works fine. Without that, we can't release your athlete to them. This is non-negotiable; it's how we keep your kid safe.
05. When Things Go Wrong
Kids are kids. Mistakes happen, attitudes flare up, somebody has a bad day. That's normal — we'll handle most of it on the field with a quick conversation and a reset.
Repeated or serious behavior issues — disrespect toward coaches, fighting, stealing, behavior that endangers other athletes — may result in dismissal from camp without refund. We'd much rather have a conversation with you and your athlete first to fix the issue. Communication keeps everyone on the same page.
Thanks for trusting us with your athlete. We take that seriously. Let's have a great summer.
